Remembering my mother, Ocea, who died thirty years ago today…

These works were created in the past year since Ph

These works were created in the past year since Phillip and I moved to Petit-de-Grat. I arrived open to change and new things; I had even given myself permission to perhaps slip off the uniform of the artist and allow my new environment to call me to yet unconsidered possibilities. To my surprise I still don that artist uniform but somehow it feels less like a uniform now and more like a comfortable second skin. Isle Madame is such a visually inspiring place to be; a feast for the eyes. As important as a beautiful environment may be, it is the beauty of the spirit of the folks who live there that matters even more. Many thanks to all who have welcomed me so warmly as well as having taken such interest in my creative projects. 🙏🏻 So, the journey carries on with Phillip who sees in me far more than I can see in myself.❤️

An evening prayer; call and response…

A moment from last evening’s stroll with Dutches

A moment from last evening’s stroll with Dutchess. Another summer evening, long past and beyond time, was recalled. My Mum and Dad sit in the backyard welcoming the night; surrendering the day replete with all it’s forms and colours, it’s responsibilities and concerns, it’s trials- and it’s joys. Above them I lie awake; through the opened window I am gently rocked by the murmured conversation accompanied by “their music” playing on a radio. The wonder of the innumerable “thens” - the wonder of now - the wonder of it all.
